Fall-Winter 2020/2021 Ready-To-Wear
Elie Saab Pre-Fall Collection
February 19, 2020
The ELIE SAAB 2020 ready-to-wear pre-fall collection is the embodiment of the female spirit as inspired by the power and beauty of Seville and its people. It speaks to a redefined femininity; one that is take-charge and tough, while at the same time sensual and passionate. In its essence, it is the compás of strength and softness.
The collection is balanced between daywear and evening wear with bold pieces that exude elegance. Dresses are a banded patchwork of lace, macramé and tulle, each fabric a different instrument coming together to create an effortless song that highlights the silhouette.
Harking back to the confidence of the bullfighter are black bolero jackets accented with edgy fringes. The tuxedo jacket, sometimes coupled with a pencil or ruffled skirt, hint at a fierce tenacity as the high slits and see-through windows of guipure are reminiscent of her sensual power. Flowing jumpsuits and striking scarlet evening gowns are peppered in the collection while large floral prints delicately punctuate throughout.
The signature ELIE SAAB waistline belts give the final looks a soft and sophisticated silhouette while the shawls with fringes and lace veils are a nod to the mysterious. The recent introduction of the ELIE SAAB junior line adds a hint of youthful playfulness, encapsulating elegance in kidswear.
