Smurfs: The Lost Village Set to Captivate Audiences in the Middle East with an English and Arabic Release

Empire International, the exclusive theatrical distributor of Sony Pictures Releasing International, 20th Century Fox, Dreamworks Animation and Fox Star India titles in the Middle East, has announced the upcoming release of Smurfs: The Lost Village across the region on March 30, 2017. Along with the English movie, an Arabic dubbed version of the film will be out simultaneously featuring the voice of prominent TV personality, Raya Abirached as Smurf Willow.
With the Arabic version, Empire International hopes to recreate the success of its Hollywood predecessors that have become synonymous with the voices of noteworthy stars such as Demi Lovato, Mandy Patinkin, Julia Roberts, Ariel Winter, Michelle Rodriguez, Jack McBraver, Danny Pudi, Joe Manganiello, Rainn Wilson and Ellie Kemper.
Speaking about The Smurfs making inroads into the Middle Eastern market, Mario Jnr. Haddad, President of Empire International said, “We have witnessed an unprecedented growth in the family entertainment business in the region. Our mission is to not only contribute to that but also to make the movies we release more accessible particularly for the Arabic speaking audiences.
Raya’s presence in the cast is certainly one that is expected to garner excitement among the Arab community. She is best known for being the co-host of hit TV talent show Arabs Got Talent. In addition, she hosts her own TV show Scoop with Raya.
