Spring-Summer 2017 Ready-to-Wear

Dolce & Gabbana

As per usual Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring-Summer 2017 Ready-To-Wear Collection was all about making a statement -- and it wasn’t just a fashion statement. Punctuated by various eye-popping elements, the collection is being talked about for reasons beyond the clothes. The show opened with street dancers and the front rows were filled with millennial social media influencers.
The theme of the show was "Tropico Italiano" and this was seen by the fun that showed up in the clothes making their way down the runway. Italy was in full force in the bold prints seen on dresses, as well as patterns of penne pasta that graced dresses punctuated by sweet lace collars. Sequins also played a major role in the collection along with denim, lace and gauzy blouses. Prints of religious icons made an appearance as well. This collection spoke to all present, from the person looking to party to the person seeking elegance.
