Launched in Beirut in 1996, Today’s Outlook is Lebanon’s first all-English language fashion and lifestyle magazine, becoming well known not only for its feature articles on fashion and insightful coverage of lifestyle issues, but also for its exclusive editorials of renowned world celebrities. The “Success Stories” section featured one-on-one interviews with hundreds of prominent movers and shakers from the Middle East and around the world.
Since its inception, Today’s Outlook interviewed over 1,500 celebrities in 51 countries. These individuals are from all walks of life, and all have achieved significant levels of success, often by overcoming extreme hardship. With its focus centered on the stories of Arabs, Today’s Outlook has published the success stories of over 450 prominent first and second-generation Lebanese and Arabs, including heads-of-state, royal family members, Representatives and Senators in the U.S. Congress, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, leaders of non-governmental organizations, fashion designers, athletes, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, Hollywood actors, and renowned artists and musicians. The magazine’s goal is to illustrate the achievements of these people and to showcase their passion for life while promoting Arab-Western relations, cultural awareness, and improving ties between the Middle East and the United States.
In 2007, under the patronage and in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, sister of the Emir of Kuwait, Today’s Outlook launched its Kuwait Edition during a gala dinner hosted at the United States Embassy in Kuwait City. During local and international press interviews HH Sheikha Fariha declared that launching the Kuwait Edition of Today’s Outlook was a great honor for all Kuwaitis.
Building on this success, a Qatar Edition of Today’s Outlook was launched in 2011 during a gala dinner hosted by the United States Ambassador to Qatar at the time, HE Joseph LeBaron, at his residence in Doha. Within a first year, Today’s Outlook became one of Qatar’s most successful and popular fashion and lifestyle magazines, providing inspirational stories to the public and exclusive interviews with leading Qatari and regional leaders, entrepreneurs and artists.
In addition to its Lebanon, Kuwait and Qatar editions Today’s Outlook also became the preferred in-room magazine at over 30 five-star hotels in the Middle East.
In 2016, 20 years after the release of its first issue, Today’s Outlook moved to the digital format, allowing the magazine to extend its reach and expand video and social storytelling to reach the next generation of movers and shakers, with print issues appearing only for special editions.
